Police Contact

For those who want to interview someone from the Eindhoven police (which may be interesting) can call +31 900 88 44 and ask for Mr. Hans Giroldi. He’s the contact person for the police and he will arrange an interview. I guess this should be important for the group which is staying right now.

Little Information based on the first group’s experience in NL

General things:

Pick up a map of Eindhoven in the tourist information when you arrive at the station.
It is a 10 minutes walk to the Hotel.
We don’t have single but double rooms.
If you wanna be tricky bring flipflops for the shower.
Most of the rooms have fridges, german TV, you get a little towel.
Breakfast is inclusive!
There is wireless Lan (SMITS) in the Hotel, you have to give the MAC (airport) ID
(like in the KISD)of your computer to the check in.
There’s no high density of eetcafes in Eindhoven. And it isn’t cheap.
Just around the corner there’s a nice place to have a Leffe dubbel for 2.50.
Use the map of Eindhoven with the landmarks. It is very useful:

Communication “Rules”:
Interview with politicians and industry:
The prepared questions are helpful for a structured interview, but it always depends on the situation. It might be, that you establish a free conversation. In this case the questions only work as a orientation for yourself.
Be prepared that some interview partners are not aware of the projects topic. So that you are always able to give a short summary of what we are doing.
Before you enter the interview, always keep in mind why we want to talk to them.
Politicians:
· get background informations about streetprostitution,
drug problems and human traffic in Eindhoven
· get a representable opinion about the Tippelzone
· to get further finacial information about the Tippelzone
· et cetera
Industry:
· try to get them feel responsible for the prostitutes (to get support  in a financial and/or social way)
· give them an understanding of the topic and keep them thinking about it
· get them connected to the project
· invite them to the presentation
Prostitutes:
(we already mentioned)
· they are really tough girls!! Don’t make “funny” games with them
· be respectful towards them
· at least try to be tough yourself
· try to keep the conversation relexed
· don‘t ask serious questions in the first meeting
